Caprock Canyons State Park (Texas) is a photographers dream. Soaring canyon walls, bold skies, dramatic cloudscapes, desert flora and fauna, and rugged Texas landscape offer a vast array of dynamic compositions. I captured this image of cactus and caprock on a late summer afternoon. The contrasting composition of sky, cactus, and caprock worked well with an Anselm Adams-style black and white landscape image.
