Description
The architectural beauty of Istanbul's Blue Mosque dazzles day and night. Built in the 17th century (1609-1616) by Sultan Ahmed as a statement of Ottoman dominance, the Sultanahmet Camii is now an iconic feature of Istanbul's cityscape.
The Blue Mosque is a part of Istanbul's UNESCO World Heritage designation. UNESCO recognition of sites for World Heritage status identifies locations of cultural and/or natural heritage deemed of value to humanity.
I utilized a digital sketch program with my original image to create this evocative view of Istanbul's iconic Blue Mosque. The sketch program is a homage to Leonardo da Vinci's sketches.
