Description
The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the historic Fairmont Water Works stand out amongst Philadelphia's iconic architectural landmarks. The structures overlook the Schuylkill River and Boat House Row. Each venue iconic in its own right. The world-renowned Philadelphia Museum of Art dates to the city's Centennial Exhibition of 1876. Fairmont Water Works opened in 1815, then the city's sole pumping station. Over the years the Water Works transitioned from an active pumping station, to an aquarium, a pool, and finally rescued by the Junior League in 2003--following 40+ years of fundraising and renovations. This is the perfect piece of art for those who love the City of Brotherly Love.
