Philadelphia's City Hall shines each night as Pennsylvania founder, William Penn, surveys the expanse of the city toward his home of Pennsbury Manor. The view from Broad Street is spectacular as cars and buses travel the busy corridor.
William Penn stands 37 feet high atop the Second Empire styled City Hall. He is surrounded by almost 250 statues adorning the building's exterior. Completed in 1901, City Hall tops out at 548 feet tall--the tallest structure in the 'City of Brotherly Love' until the completion of One Liberty Place in 1987.
This black and white evening rendition highlights the architecture and motion along Philadelphia's Broad Street.
Image captured with a Canon 5D Mark III & Canon 24-105 f/4L IS USM lens, with support provided by a MeFoto Globe Trotter tripod.

Now with Canon equipment in hand, Stephen captures visual stories from locations of natural beauty, historical importance, and spiritual significance. His images appear in publications and Hollywood productions and hang on the walls of businesses, homes, and high-end hotels. Stephen operates Stephen Stookey Photography, an online print on demand business. Thank you for taking time to view my portfolio.
