Sign of vacation days past on Route 66. The Sun 'n Sand Hotel in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, was a classic roadside motor court hotel, welcoming weary travelers on America's Mother Road. Peeling paint and broken neon tubes symbolize the fading memories of Route 66. The once popular motel is now closed and in the process of being torn down.
