Description
Historic Taos Inn opened in 1936. The Inn, originally named Hotel Martin, is comprised of a series of 18th century adobe houses. Helen Martin, widow of Thomas "Doc" Martin, opened the hotel. Subsequent owners renamed the hotel Taos Inn. The inn's restaurant honors "Doc" Martin who was instrumental in the 1915 formation of the Taos Society of Artists. The iconic blue thunderbird neon sign is a classic symbol of the town.
This image is a chalk pastel rendition from my original photographic image. I recommend printing this image printed on one of the following papers: somerset velvet, picture rag, or watercolor paper (which offers a light texture). Mat & frame to fit your decor.
