A portion of the Alamo Plaza Hotel Courts vintage sign is preserved as cultural art in the mixed use development where the landkmark motel once stood. The Alamo Plaza Hotel Court opened in the 1930s on Fort Worth Avenue--then, the main route between Dallas and Fort Worth. Bypassed by the new Turnpike in the 1950s and time, the West Dallas motor court closed in 2008.

I utilized a close crop and color processing to create the modern, retro-pop feel. This image looks great on metal or acrylic.
