Amarillo's Paramount Theatre was once the grand movie palace of the Texas Panhandle. The Paramount opened in 1932, bringing the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to West Texas. The theatre closed in 1975. Today, the restored Paramount sign remains, but the marquis no longer fronts the Pueblo Deco structure.
