Description
The rugged landscape of Joshua Tree National park mesmerizes visitors and attracts climbers from around the world. The granite landscape, worn and weathered, creates a scene reminiscent of the Flintstones' Bedrock. Piles of granite boulders create challenges for climbers of all skill levels. It is not uncommon to spot individuals and groups bouldering in the geologic formations.
This bold black and white fine art photographic image highlights the rugged beauty and raw emotion of the Joshua Tree National Park's landscape. I love the juxtaposition of the bent-but-not-broken ancient juniper tree and the monolith variously known as "Pinnacle Rock" and "Penguin Rock." Bring the beauty of the nature inside and refresh your soul.
