Description
Eerie. Haunted. The Wyoming Frontier Prison offers a glimpse into early twentieth century prison life, from cell blocks to death row. Ghost hunters and ghostbusters claim an abundance of paranormal activity inside the former state penitentiary. The prison opened in 1901 and closed in 1980, when remaining inmates were moved a few miles away to a modern facility. The warehouse style of stacked cells adds to the ominous vibe of the cellblock. Wyoming's most notorious felons, including a handful of female prisoners, paid their debt to society inside these walls. Several executions occurred by hanging or gas chamber. Haunted? Spend a few quiet hours roaming the old Frontier Prison and you decide.
