Description
The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge stands as the second highest highway bridge in the United States--650 feet above the Rio Grande River. The steel deck arch bridge was built in the early 1960s. Funding issues delayed road construction on the west side of the gorge, leading to the nickname "Bridge to Nowhere." Today the bridge is a popular attraction for visitors to Taos. Sidewalks and view points allow visitors to peer into the depths of the canyon and the river below.
This panoramic image is compose of multiple images stitched together. It is the perfect statement piece for those who love Taos and northern New Mexico.
