The area is a mix of old brick architecture and bright neon of new honk tonks, with the occasionally ghost sign making an appearance, Wannabe country music stars and current legends entertain crowds of locals and tourists. You never know who will step up to the stage for a surprise set. The town truly deserves the nickname 'Music City USA.'
The Lawrence Record Shop sign on the side of Nudie's Honky Tonk (not that kind of Nudie!) is one of my favorites. Albums and cassettes--what, no 8-tracks?!
