Artist's Description
American poet & author, Edgar Alan Poe's works evoke emotions ranging from the romantic to the mysterious and macabre. Circumstances surrounding Poe's death at age 40 share his in the mysterious side of his writings. The mystery surrounding Poe continues in death with his burial site moved within the Westminster Church Burial grounds (noted on the marker featured in this image) and the secretive birthday appearance of the Poe Toaster (tipping a glass of Cognac in honor of the Baltimore poet and leaving behind 3 roses graveside). Black & white is fitting for the Poe marker reminding the vistor that the original burial site is "Never More" the location of Poe's remains.
Image captured with a Canon 5D Mark III & a Canon 24-105 f/4L IS USM lens.
