It's just a hop, skip, and a jump. Accessible during low tide, Whyte Island is the central attraction at West Vancouver's Whytecliff Park. Whyte Island offers adventurous hikers a glimpse into marine life in the Pacific Northwest. It is not uncommon to spot harbor seals soaking up the sun on the beaches of Whytecliff Park. The waters surrounding Whyte Island are popular with divers.
I captured this image on a July evening as the sun slipped toward the horizon and winds aloft carried the clouds. A long exposure captured the motion of the clouds and the ocean.
