Description
San Antonio's iconic Riverwalk is among the most popular tourist attractions in the Lone Star State. Shops and restaurants line the Riverwalk and sightseeing boats ferry tourists. The roots of the Riverwalk emerged from a tragic flood in 1921 and the need for flood control along the San Antonio River. Architect Robert H. H. Hugman envisioned the flood control project that would be the iconic Riverwalk, but it wasn't until the late 1930s that the project was undertaken. Today, shops and restaurants line the Riverwalk; there is no better place in the Lone Star State to enjoy a riverside meal.
This image is a perfect memory piece of San Antonio.
