The El Piñon Theatre in Abiquiu, NM, was an unexpected find during a recent stop in Abiquiu, NM. The small northern New Mexico village is best known for its most famous resident, iconic American artist Georgia O'Keeffe. The village's churches--Santo Tomas El Apostol Church, Penitente Morada, and on the edge of town the ruins of Santa Rosa de Lima. The neon tubes on the simple El Pinon sign remain. The theatre sits on the Church Plaza at the center of town.
This is a wonderful piece of New Mexico history for a wall space in home, office, business, or hotel.
