Description
Built in 1927 by Paramount Studios, the Alabama Theater stands as an iconic landmark in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. The 2,500 seat movie palace opened its doors on December 26, 1927. Its popular Mickey Mouse Club, entertaining children on Saturday's in the 1930s & early 1940s, was the largest in the country with a peak membership of 18,000 children. Restored in 1998, the "Showplace of the South" hosts concerts, events, and films.
This is the perfect wall compliment for home or office for those in Birmingham or with strong memories of the South's "Steel City."
