Description
Marina Towers stand as the iconic feature of the Marina City development in downtown Chicago. The twin residential 65-story towers opened in 1963, along the Chicago River. The first 20 flours of each tower feature parking bays. Inside the towers there are no right angles, maintaining the circular architectural motif. The towers have been featured in multiple movies, TV shows and commercials. Among the most iconic movie features is Steve McQueen's car chase in "The Hunter," ending with a car losing control and plunging from an upper level into the Chicago River.
I love the look of the towers in black and white, highlighting the contemporary lines and shadows of the concrete structure.
