Description
I love the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest coastline. Surf and seastacks, sun and water all make for a dramatic scene. Olympic National Park's Ruby Beach offers beachgoers a markable setting. Low tides allows beachcombers to explore tidal pools where starfish and sea anemones flourish. Sunrise and sunsets are spectacular. Looking at the picture I hear the call of shorebirds and the soothing sounds of the surf rolling onto shore.
This majestic seastack rises from Ruby Beach, piercing the surf like a primordial shark fin. I love the black and white rendition of this image, Stripping down the scene to its most basic primordial presence.
